The winegrowers of the estate
Located in the heart of Anjou, overlooking the Layon, the vineyard extends over 90 hectares. The Château du Fresne, built in 1436, is its historic emblem. Yannis Bretault, David Maugin and Nicolas Richez are artisan winemakers. Through their work, they continue the tradition of several generations by combining new technologies to ensure diversified, regular and responsible production.

The Anjou region
Located mainly in the commune of Faye d'Anjou, the vines of Château du Fresne have their roots in soils composed mainly of schist and sandstone. These shallow soils produce very distinctive wines. On the left bank of the Layon, the soils are more filtering, composed of sand and gravel and produce lighter wines.
