Château du Pouey

Located 45 minutes from Pau, in Viella in the Gers, Château du Pouey is a 22-hectare family wine estate. In 2012, Bastien Lannusse, passionate about vines and wine, took the reins of the estate following his father and gave Château du Pouey new impetus focused on the future and sustainable agriculture. The wines, which have won several awards, reflect his image: honest, authentic and generous.

  • Winemaking

    Reasoned culture. Use of sorting tables, Fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel vats, Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Aging in barrels and stainless steel vats.

  • Tasting notes

    Garnet color, crystalline with purple reflections. Complex and elegant nose with generous aromas of black fruits, blueberries and spices. Crisp, intense and easy-drinking on the palate, we find notes of black fruits and spices. The tannins are elegant and round, the body structured and the intensity is good.
