South of the famous Côte des Blancs, a unique terroir: the hillsides of Sézannais. Its typicality is found in the aromatic complexity of our vintages. Wines of great finesse marked by minerality – due to the chalky soils for Chardonnay – and power and vinosity – due to the presence of flint pebbles for Pinot noir which takes root in stony soils. These pebbles are found in abundance in the soils of the highest altitude vines. The landscapes and terroir of Barbonne-Fayel are structured by its local geological history, between the secondary era and the more recent tertiary period.

The Marcoults are wine makers, who have cherished their terroir since 1967. For Florence as for Julien, balance and tension are what take precedence in divine wine, because a good champagne is above all a good wine. Champagne Marcoult offers a bubble of character, crafted with care and conviction.
