Domaine Mittnacht-Frères
It is at the foot of the fortified church of Hunawihr that since 1963, the Mittnacht family has been producing highly expressive wines. Today, it is Marc Mittnacht, son of André, his wife Paule and his son Pierre who work the 11 hectares of vines spread over the best terroirs of Hunawihr and Ribeauvillé of the Alsace vineyard. For more than 20 years now, the vineyard has been conducted in organic and biodynamic agriculture.
-
Winemaking
No synthetic products in the vineyard, great respect for the natural cycle of the vine and its terroir, entirely manual harvesting and sorting, minimal intervention in the cellar.
-
Tasting notes
The color is straw yellow with golden highlights. The nose is fine and complex with aromas of fresh fruit, a hint of roasted hazelnuts, and some smoky notes. The attack on the palate is frank and precise, its structure is silky and tense with an elegant freshness.
