Casa Rojo

After creating wines throughout Spain, José Luis Gómez and Laura Muñoz decided to return to their homeland in the south of Spain. In 2009, they built a winery and planted a vineyard in the unique Paraje de La Raja, a fertile valley located between the Sierra del Carche and the Sierra de La Pila, in the Altiplano of the Murcia region. Today, the vineyard has 23 hectares of Monastrell (Mourvèdre), Garnacha (Grenache) and Syrah.

  • Winemaking

    Morning harvest then maceration for 2-3 days. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Aged for at least 5 months with weekly stirring.

  • Tasting notes

    Intense nose with notes of grapefruit, pineapple and lemon. Round and fresh on the palate, tropical sparkles and aniseed touches mark the aftertaste of the wine.
