Domaine Enclos de la Croix: A family estate in Organic Farming

Located in Languedoc, in the heart of the little Camargue, Enclos de la Croix is a 23-hectare family estate created in 1814. Eight generations of passionate winegrowers faithful to the terroir have successively taken charge of the vineyard, bringing it step by step towards organic farming.

The beginnings are made through gentle cultivation of the soil: gradual elimination of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, return to animal traction and the presence of sheep to weed in winter. Today, the estate offers privileged biodiversity where vegetable garden, orchard, hedges, trees, sheep, chickens, and horses all have a role to play, which greatly reduces the need for phytosanitary products.

Between mistral, tramontane and maritime entrances, the vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc Petit Manseng and Riesling produce natural grapes certified in organic farming. A stone wall completely surrounds this exceptional terroir conducive to the development of the vines and closes on a benevolent cross.

Since its creation in 1814, the Enclos de la Croix estate has been a human adventure that places everyone at the heart of a life project. Live from your work, flourish in this place, all generations combined. The wines are witnesses to the commitment of these passionate men and women, on your table, they make you their ambassadors.
