What if you adopted a vine?

Fairly recent, the concept of adopting a vine is all the rage among wine lovers. If you want to taste “your own vintage” or if you simply want to know the secrets of the world of wine, this may be for you!

What is the principle of adopting a vine?

The principle could not be simpler: you “adopt” a plot or a vine from a partner winegrower of the platform through which you will pass, in exchange for which, throughout the year, you follow the evolution of your vine , and of course, you receive your vintage in your name .
The perfect opportunity to have your own wine, without having to acquire an entire vineyard!
You will be able to follow the life and evolution of your vine step by step, from pruning to harvest, and viticulture will no longer hold any secrets for you. You can also, and we can only advise you, to visit the winegrower, to take a look at your vine and learn more about the winegrower's profession.
You can choose your region, the opportunity to discover regions and terroirs still unknown to you. And choose the type of viticulture you want to sponsor (organic, biodynamic, etc.).
For you, or as a gift to a friend or family member who loves wine, this is a really good idea: informative and original, it is sure to seduce!

How much does it cost to adopt a vine?

Offers differ depending on the platforms and prices differ depending on the winegrowers, regions and appellations. I'll share some examples with you.

At Cuvée Privée , you can adopt vines from €160 for a year and up to €480 , for the Cuvée Hermitage Rouge. From Sancerre to the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru via Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and Mercurey, you are sure to find what you are looking for! To begin with, you will receive an invitation to the estate, and every three months, you will receive in your mailbox a bottle of your cuvée as well as one or two (depending on the formula chosen) “surprise” bottle(s) of the winegrower to discover the rest of his range, accompanied by a gazette to follow the evolution of your vine over the past quarter.

At Covigneron , the operation is not quite the same. You choose the number of vines you wish to adopt (3, 6, 12, 18… or even 70!). You receive a newsletter every month and one bottle per vine adopted, that is to say at least three bottles, as well as three “discovery workshops” at the chosen winemaker's estate. Prices range from €200 to €260 per year for the 3 vine format .

Finally, at Mes vignes en casket , the principle is quite similar to the previous one, you choose the number of vines (6, 12 or 24) and you will regularly receive a newsletter with news about your vines, and a bottle per vine adopted, therefore 6, 12 or 24 bottles depending on the formula chosen. There are three different formulas: the first formula from €99 per year does not offer a visit to the estate; the second from 149€ will allow you to visit the estate , see your plot and taste the different wines from the estate; finally, the last one from €299, will allow you, in addition to all this, to spend a night in the heart of an estate , in a guest room.

It's hard to choose from all this choice , isn't it? In conclusion, there is something for everyone, and almost every budget, from €100 per year . It will mainly depend on what you want and the feeling you have with the platform on the one hand and the winemaker on the other. So, if you're interested, don't hesitate to take a look!
